" WARNING " The people put in charge of our skateboard history are manipulating it !!

So as V.E.S. R&D goes on we see more and more writing and constant manipulation of the truth. IT'S INSIDIOUS and everywhere these days and it is showing no signs of slowing down! For a few years now we would try and post a comment in written articles that we feel don't tell the other side of our skateboard history. And every time we get erased on almost all the comment sections of an article when it comes to this sport. I use to think maybe it's a computer glitch and it just didn't get sent right, but it is now very obvious as to why.

You see the powers that be are now in control of this sport like almost everything else. They are  manipulating and erasing what does not fit, and that is bad for us all. Good or bad facts are important so you can judge and find truth. But if all the facts that don't fit the narrative of something are erased then you cant find the truth.

This article from The Smithsonian is doing just that, and the worst is that they are in the business of telling history. So when you see a so called reputable organization manipulating the truth to fit a narrative, we are all in trouble.

 V.E.S. is constantly researching and reading what people are saying when it comes to our skateboard history and what we see these days is all on one side of thought and there is a lot of it.

Cancel culture is in our sport to stay, and just like cancer it is multiplying and killing

 this sport and the history we all share !!!

WOW, is what I thought when I read this....

They implied so much to our sport in this article and did it in a way that really only come from one direction of thought.

From what I remember and did in this sport since the beginning  was to get along with anyone that wanted to skate. No matter who you were and what you looked like.

To attach this sport to any of these protest is just sick and insidious.

If you want to talk about skateboarders in these protests BG then talk about what people saw during these protest. Because what I was seeing on " ALL " the news channels ,were skaters bashing in cop car windows and shop windows with there skateboards. And I also see no mention of all the small skateboard shops that were looted during these protests. Is this the kind of movement you are taking about? Because I don't see that info mentioned here !!

And to set the record strait, when I saw those skaters destroying stuff, it made me feel sick to be associated in anyway shape or form. But from what I see written here on this article the Smithsonian supports it.

Also by inserting this small point of view by BG and others from a position of power related to documented skateboard history Is just horrible for all of us. Skateboarding is a free sport made famous by kids. But this point of view taken at one point of time, from a close minded perspective and applied to the entirety of this sport and its history in this way, and how it was written shows that the Smithsonian does not consider all participating factors when making informed information to the public. What other sports are they doing this too?

Go look on your own and see if you see any other complaints about the Smithsonian and what they have been accused of doing.

Skateboarding is a free sport. We as skaters can do it anywhere. We are not stuck in a GYM at school, we are not stuck on a track going around in circles, skateboarders have the world at their feet and anyone at anytime can do it. And what people seam to think when they write this junk is that this is a controlled sport. Well I'm here to tell them as loud as I can,

 " ITS THE  SKATERS SPORT " 

not the pompous peoples put in charge of it and not the industry's making its product !!! 

So stop with your " AGENDA" because most of the players in this sport are still around and remember and can see what you are trying to do with our history!!!

SHAME SHAME SHAME !!!

And just for clarification these companies only made the product, we as skaters made our own history. So going after what was said in a magazine is not telling the rest of the history that many of us skaters have and shared. Most of us were kids that had no other avenue in this world, and this sport to us was the greatest thing ever. We were apart of something and we knew it.

The skateboard industry took advantage of it to become what they are today. So don't pass the blame on the skaters BG, blame the people you have lunch with.

And as someone that cares about our skateboards history and lived it, I am very scared about who they have put in charge of it at the Smithsonian. If people like BG are in charge of what is important to remember and is writing books and blogs for future skateboarders to read, then we will not have the full truth to remember for people to see, but only a vivid manipulation of it written by someone so righteous and judgmental that only looks through the scope some would call

 "WHITE PRIVILEGE GUILT". 

V.E.S. calls you out, Shame on you BG and the horse you rode in on.

You are no historian you are the exact opposite and the real reason why the world has problems. It's people like you in leadership frigging things up for the rest of us with only a solution of division to write about on your

blog.

This is a kids sport, so get off your high horse and give it back to them. And tell your friends to do the same!!!

Well welcome to the sport....

No matter who or what you are these days and even in the past, this sport has always had it's challenges, and with no exceptions.

Welcome to the club of nothing new !!

So should  this be what a representative of skateboard history should be saying or doing? Telling only one small side of history? 

And telling or saying this and in this way and to who, is where you see the real problem we all face in this sport going forward.

Yes this sport has an ugly side, all sports do but saying this to people that may not get this sport and what it is, is even more ugly in nature.

The real facts are that this sport has alway been for anyone that wants it....

But now it's a sport that must conform to a belief that is man made in todays world. You can be a great skater but still not get on the team because you don't fit the narrative anymore. And is that what skateboarding is truly about? It is now.

You see V.E.S. is trying to save our history, the good the bad it doest really matter. But now it seems our history has to include everyone and everything at all times. But the funny thing is it alway has, it just wasn't told to do so and made into law like it is now. So when you see someone that doesn't fit in this sport its because they are doing something wrong, but in reality its the powers that be controlling this sport that have it all wrong.

This sport has always been free to create and innovate at its own pace, " AS IT SHOULD " but that seems to be a bit out of control and slow for today so called leaders.

V.E.S. will alway push back against the new skateboard establishment and with the history we all share and should be proud of.

Yes I said it, ALL ARE WELCOME....

But somehow the Smithsonian thinks it is not so and why is that? I would say what they have written here is for a reason and not for fact. So when you see this stuff written, it's not so if you take into context, being fare.

All of us want things in this world and we know to get it we should work hard for it, but today people cry for things and loud and this article is screaming loud with its platform!!!

Fare is one thing but how is it fare to blame  other people before you do the hard work.

This article just blames and it's very obvious that they didn't do the hard work to tell this story better. 

After reading this article I feel I can no longer trust what the Smithsonian is saying or doing.

This rot in our sport needs to be stopped, these people have no clue and only seem to care about what is fashionable in todays world while destroying this sports true purpose.
