Board now sealed

Sealed top

Sealed bottom

Sealed bottom

The top graphic is now sealed along with the fixed wood stress cracks

and wood chips. And it has been done in a way to save the look of history that this board came with.

Sealed bottom

Sealed bottom

Sealed bottom

The bottom is now V.E.S. sealed and the razor tail fixed with a custom color to help match the tail guard that has been ground down. And yes, it did get a little cracking in the pink color when sealed. The cracks were there before, they just became more apparent after the seal process. At this time I was still trying to figure out the variable relationships between the skateboards moisture condition, the woods degradation, the graphics thickness over a stained board, and the V.E.S seal. Every single board and its problems are different, and I was trying to find a way to cover a broad spectrum of a board conditions to relate better with the V.E.S. seal. I have since figured most of that out. For me and the way I was learning this uncharted way of refurbishing, it was better to work on multiple boards, with different problems and conditions to get to a clear consensus on how the V.E.S. seal would react to most vintage skateboards.

Just like any skater doing a trick, the more you practice the better you get.

The bottom

The bottom of the board has been sealed and waxed for protection. Notice how the tail guard and razor tail fix blend together to display well long into the future. All the plastic guards and hardware have  been detailed for looks and can be easily disassembled for future change.

This board is truly a work of art but after being sealed it will stay this way for a long time. This board is also still in the shrink-wrap that was done right after work was done.

Depending on the board, condition and color, using both lights can help make it display brighter.
