The refurbish has started

Grip tape removed from this board and glue residue cleaned off. Seeing this boards top layer is like a thin layer cardboard, you cant use any cleaners to get it off, and if you do it will only hurt the boards top layer and maybe absorb even further into the board. I use an old fashion technique called hard work and elbow grease to get anything off. And when done I have no contaminants in my way going forward. This board did have some top layer problems above the graphic so I did what I could just enough so it didn't lead to more problems.

The custom V.E.S. razor tail fix for this Bonite board was made to mimic the boards material characteristics for a more stock feel under your feet when you skate it and not just hang it. If I can ,I always try to build into the boards refurbish the possibility it will be skated again and not just refurbished to look good like other refurbishers of boards. Doing this makes me have a better product for more people when I get done, leading to a better product over time.

The sides are now cleaned up and ready to be sealed

The board is now V.E.S. sealed

The top and bottom of the board has been colored to match the O.G. color and it was sealed with a satin finish. I didn't want to go to glossy just because of the imperfections of the bottom would stand out more along with the stock Bonite lines. I also could have done more V.E.S. seal on the board to compensate for the imperfections but sometimes you just need to know when to stop. Maybe next time.

History saved for the future !!

History saved.

This was a fun build with the intentions of saving its history, making it last and look good doing it.     Even if it gets skated as a vintage Skateboard! Can those other board refurbishers do that?

V.E.S. is not only putting great boards on the wall but we are putting them back under your feet!

There are plenty of Lance Mountain boards in the world but only V.E.S. boards will last longer than a board at a museum hanging on the wall or goin down the road!

Own your skateboard history - for the future
