Here is an example of a vintage skateboard that has lost it's battle with time and is in constant decline and loosing value.

Here is an example of the same vintage skateboard with its history saved. The grip tape was pulled and reconditioned while it's history was saved. The skateboards condition was fixed to be used as a skater. And it's graphics were slitty cleaned up and color was brought back to the board to have long lasting value and protection.

1) No purchase required for contest entry. FREE

2) Apply to enter on form below or reach out to VES.

3) Open to age 18 and up in the 48 contiguous United States. (Important) !!!

4) Odds of being selected for contest 10 out of number of applicants. Odds of winning if chosen to participate are 1 in 10.

5) The final 10 entries and the ultimate contest winner decided by V.E.S.

6) If less than 10 entries received, contest is null and void.

7) Entries to be chosen as one of the 10 participants open 10/17/25 and ends 11/16/25 at 11:59pm EST.

8) To win the final prize (still to be determined from the VES collection), participant must adhere to the guidelines set forth by VES (see below).

Rules for Chosen 10 Skateboard Contest Recipients

1) If chosen from the initial contest entries, you'll receive a used vintage board in the mail from VES.

Each contestant is soley responsible for the board they get but a group effort is allowed if needed.

2) Boards of relatively the same used condition will be chosen from the collection of VES. (If you have a preference of 80s or 90s let us know!)

3) Must submit photo documentation and descriptors of work on at least a monthly basis to be displayed on the VES website. Projects will also be discussed and pictures shown on my VES YouTube channel.

4) The winning board will show the best combination of preservation of its entire history and wood restoration while keeping it a skateable board.( Proof of use when done will help) Judging will be based on quality photo documentation and descriptors. Winner is chosen by VES. and input from collectors will be sourced for help in the final decision of winner.

5) Board restoration phase of the contest will be 6 months; start date to be determined.

6) Boards will remain the possession of the 10 recipients when the contest is over; they do not need to be returned to VES.
